You can bring a car to school when you have passed your test. Please be aware that there is NO parking available on site. You must park sensibly and not obstruct neighbours’ drives. The police have been called due to this on previous occasions and tickets will be placed on cars if this continues. Currently, fines are £60.
You should complete the trips and visits form which are outside the Sixth Form office in the pigeon hole. The forms are printed on yellow paper. All teachers must sign this to say they agree with you going and you need to arrange to complete the work you will miss. The form should be submitted to Edwina Danks in the Wellbeing Office.

All Sixth Form students are issued with an ID Badge, which must be worn at all times. The ID Badge has a barcode on it, when you come into school you must 'scan' yourself in and if you leave site at any time during the day, you must 'scan' yourself out.
Absolutely. All that we ask is that you sign our Personal Device Agreement (which must be countersigned by your parent/guardian). Then we enable your device to access our high speed broadband connection.
On Wednesday afternoon you may take part in games/sport/PE at school or offsite. You but you must swipe out if you are leaving the school premises. You may also use Wednesday afternoons for volunteering opportunities. Paid work is not permitted.
We realise for driving/theory TESTS you are requested to go on certain dates. We do permit you to sit tests, but you must advise the subject teacher whose lesson you may miss before leaving school. Driving lessons should not be booked during the school day.
This is the grade you should be able to achieve at the end of your course if you work to your full potential making use of all resources available to you. The target grade is calculated based on your GCSE grades using a government tool.
Attitude to Learning or A2L provides you with a snapshot of how you are performing in each of your subjects. Your teacher will provide you with a grade three times in the academic year telling you how you are performing. The report will state if you are performing at, above or below your target grades in each subject. You can use your A2L to set yourself personal targets with your tutor during discussions. Your parents should consider A2L as an overview of how you are performing. If you have any subject specific concerns, you should speak to your subject teacher in the first instance. They will easily be able to help you set targets and give you ideas on how to improve. Your parents are welcome to contact either the Curriculum Leads, Deputy Head of Sixth Form or Head of Sixth Form if they have any concerns. Heads of Year and Head of Sixth Form may contact home if A2L is consistently or particularly poor in more than one area of study.
It is imperative that you give subjects a fair chance, especially if it is a subject you have not done before such as Psychology or Economics. Initially, if you want to change subjects, please speak to the subject teacher of the subjects you are currently in AND the teacher of the group you wish to go to in the first instance to make sure the subject is right for you. You will then need to see a member of the Sixth Form team.
You will continue with your A Level courses.
Registration and Assembly are key parts of Sixth Form life. You will use registration to meet regularly with your tutor. This is essential for tracking progress and building relationships for UCAS references. Assembly is fundamental for sharing all information on future careers and higher/further education. You might miss key information if you miss these sessions. All references ask us to comment on punctuality and attendance and we will often be asked to state how many times the student has been late or absent in the last 12 months.

You apply for this role by letter addressed to the Head teacher explaining why you want to be in the role. You post your manifesto on the Sixth Form website for all to read and vote for you. You will also have to give a speech in briefing to staff explaining why you want to be in the role and what you can offer. You might put a team together to help with your campaign. The role is one of great responsibility as all students will know who you are. Your uniform, behaviour attitude must be positive at all times. You will be asked to speak and represent the school at public occasions, sometimes out of school hours. Other roles include organising the Year 13 Leavers' Assembly and Sixth Form events.

Check university websites – they are very clear about this information. Please DO NOT leave all of your visits until Year 13 as you will miss valuable teaching sessions. Start visiting in the spring/summer term of Year 12
