Deputy Headteacher

The Trustees of Ribston Hall wish to appoint a Deputy Headteacher for September 2024. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, creative, inspirational and determined leader to champion the needs of our school community and build upon our successes.

The Deputy Headteacher of Ribston Hall will work collaboratively with a committed and ambitious staff and trustee body.

The Deputy Headteacher will play a key role in the day-to-day operational leadership of the school and be responsible for the following key strategic areas:

  • Developing leadership across the school through the creation of a Leadership Framework
  • Staff Continuing Professional Development, including Training Manager (ITT, ECT)
  • Raising the profile of the school: Communications and Marketing Strategy

Assistant Headteacher (Culture & Ethos)

The Headteacher and Trustees of Ribston Hall wish to appoint an Assistant Headteacher for September 2024.This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, creative, inspirational and determined leader to champion the needs of our school community and build upon our successes.

The new Assistant Headteacher of Ribston Hall will work collaboratively with a committed and ambitious staff and trustee body.

The Assistant Headteacher, as part of the Senior Leadership Team, will provide ambitious, creative, inspirational and visionary leadership to champion the needs of our school community and be responsible for the following key strategic areas:

  • Nurture a sense of belonging through our school traditions, events and house system.
  • Strategically lead our Pastoral Provision for Years 7-10 including behaviour, attendance and the role of the form tutor.
  • Act as our Designated Safeguarding Lead and strategically lead the safeguarding culture within our school.

Teacher of Psychology (Full-time)

The Trustees are looking to recruit a Teacher of Psychology on a full-time, permanent basis.  Applications from candidates seeking a part-time role, on a job share basis will also be considered.

We are looking for an inspirational teacher, who shares our vision and ethos to become part of the Psychology team and support the continuous improvement of the school.

Teacher of Mathematics and Computing (Full-time)

The Trustees are looking to recruit a Teacher of Mathematics and Computing on a full-time, permanent basis.

We are looking for an inspirational Teacher, who shares our vision and ethos to become part of our team and support the continuous improvement of the school.  With the majority of teaching in the subject of Mathematics, there will also be an element of Computing (circa. 0.2 FTE).

Where candidates have a preference to teach Mathematics only, a part-time role of circa 0.8 FTE will be considered.

Exam Invigilators (Casual)

The Governors of Ribston Hall High School are looking to appoint additional Exam Invigilators on a casual basis, to form part of our friendly Examinations team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Exam Invigilators team at Ribston Hall High School, based just outside the city centre on Stroud Road, Gloucester.

We are seeking to recruit a number of dependable invigilators to assist in conducting examinations. Previous invigilator experience is not essential, as full training will be given.

You will be an effective communicator, with a detailed and thorough approach to work. You will be confident to work independently and be well organised, with exceptional time keeping skills.


Relief Cover Supervisors

Ribston Hall High School is regularly looking for relief Cover Supervisors to maintain lesson continuity during teacher absence. This is to work on an ad-hoc basis to provide classroom cover, sometimes at short notice. This is a very flexible job and cover may be for just one lesson, a whole day or a week.
