Admissions for September 2021

Admissions Policy 2021-2022

2021 Entry (current Year 6)

The Entrance Test took place on Saturday 17th October 2020. The Local Authority will allocate 150 places on 1st March 2021.

1st March 2021: the Local Authority will offer places on behalf of Ribston Hall High School to the highest ranking girls until they reach our admission number of 150. There are likely to be more students who pass the test than can be offered a place.  Girls who meet the qualifying standard, but have not been successful in gaining a place, will have the opportunity to go on a waiting list and may be offered a place should one become available. You MUST coordinate this with Gloucestershire County Council to ensure you are placed on the waiting list (see below)  You are also entitled to appeal (see below).

After 1st March, but by Monday 8th March 2021, you can request to go on the Ribston Hall High School Waiting List via Gloucestershire County Council's (GCC's) online system.

For candidates sharing their September test result with Ribston Hall, late, a request to go on the waiting list must be sent to GCC.  In order to be added to the Ribston Hall High School waiting list, your daughter must have met the qualifying standard.

For candidates who live outside of Gloucestershire, in addition to liaising with your own local authority, it is advisable to email GCC directly with your waiting list request on school.admissions@gloucestershire.gov.uk

If this is your first application in Gloucestershire, please complete GCC's "late" Common Application Form, currently available on the GCC website by the deadline of 8th March 2021.

Candidates who missed the grammar school entrance test in October, have the opportunity to sit a 'post-allocation test'. Information will be added to our website in January 2021.  (This is not a second attempt at the entrance test, it is for those students who have not yet sat the Gloucestershire Grammar Entrance Test). The Late Test has now taken place and is closed for any new applications.
