My name is Sarah Colombini and I am very privileged to be the new Headteacher at Ribston Hall High School.
Educationally, I am committed to the selective system and single sex education and for the last 16 years have been working in Devon at Torquay Girls’ Grammar School.
My degree is in Medical Biology and I began my career teaching Science and Biology, specialising in A level courses. Due to my background I am particularly enthusiastic about encouraging young women into STEM subjects, as sadly the gender gap in these areas is still significant and needs to be addressed; something I feel very strongly about.
I have vast experience in a variety of roles within the school setting including leading on Teaching & Learning, pastoral care, safeguarding and the Sixth form, all of which I have enjoyed.
I am dedicated to my role in developing bright young women, my passion and ethos throughout my career has been to enable young women to aspire to be the best that they can be.
It is an exciting time to be part of our school community and I look forward to sharing the Ribston journey with both the staff and students over the next few years. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
I joined Ribston as Assistant Headteacher in September 2014. My role in school focuses on developing the Curriculum, use of data and systems that support teaching and learning. Ribston has a fantastic atmosphere and a very supportive community of staff and students.
I was appointed as an assistant headteacher at Ribston in September 2016. The focus of my role is supporting the excellent pastoral work of the school, and to monitor and support teaching and learning.
I feel privileged to be a part of a community that I have strong family links with, and am enjoying witnessing the Ribston spirit first hand!
Finance and Facilities Manager
I took up the post of Finance and Facilities Manager in October 2002.
In those 15 years, I have seen the change to Academy in 2011, as well as many changes to the buildings and facilities.
It has been a pleasure to be part of the Ribston Hall story and I look forward to exciting challenges ahead.
