Fair Access and Primary Partnerships

Shaping Futures

At Ribston we are committed to ensuring all children in our local area have fair access to attend our School. As part of that commitment, we are part of the 'Shaping Futures' initiative, which has been set up by Pate's Grammar School, and working with other grammar schools in Gloucestershire.

Our aim is to encourage equal opportunity regardless of a child's background and by widening access to grammar school for Pupil Premium and Pupil Premium Plus children. We do this by identifying and removing barriers there may for local families and providing support and resources that they can easily access.

Primary School Children Using Virtual Reality Headsets

We partner with primary schools in our local area, and both our teachers and students get involved in activities with children and teachers from these schools throughout the year - from computers to drama, cooking and sport. We are partnered with 13 schools and are delighted to offer our current programmes of activity to:

  • Calton Primary School
