We pride ourselves on creating a safeguarding culture that not only protects students from harm but also promotes their emotional and social well-being, allowing them to thrive academically and personally. It fosters trust, reduces risk and creates a supportive environment where every member of our community is committed to the safety of our students.
Mrs Hay is the Safeguarding Lead here at Ribston. Mrs Hay works alongside Mrs Hill, Mrs Cresswell, Miss Erro and Mrs Brewster to support students and respond to any safeguarding concerns.
Anyone can report a safeguarding concern by emailing our Safeguarding Team. Students can report concerns in person by speaking to a member of our Safeguarding Team:
We've also created a 'Report a Concern' button that is located on student dashboards.
Our Safeguarding poster is displayed around the school so that students are reminded who our Safeguarding Team are, and how to report any concerns:

We share the Spotlight on Safeguarding newsletter to keep parents and guardians informed about key issues affecting young people, along with the latest updates, guidance, and resources related to safeguarding children.
