    Our Sixth Form community provides an environment for students to excel academically, personally and socially. Our Sixth Form offer is based around four pillars – aspiration, success, individuality and autonomy.

    Aiming for excellence is a personal pursuit that can vary greatly from one Sixth Form student to another. Our students devise a Sixth Form experience that is personalised and unique to them, enabling them to explore their passions, develop their talents, and unlock their full potential. Each student selects activities from each pillar so that their Ribston experience is:

    • Engaging;
    • Supports their studies;
    • Aligns with their passions; and 
    • Helps them achieve their future goals.

    In addition, we offer our established Ribston Baccalaureate Programme for our Sixth Form students. The programme offers all students a challenging curriculum that prepares them for academic and professional success and is accredited by the National Baccalaureate Trust.

    Be Aspirational: Aim Higher Academically

    We recommend that students study three A-Level subjects. This can be combined with the Extended Project Qualification, which we strongly recommend for all students to support Higher Education applications (particularly for Oxbridge and Russell Group institutions). It is possible to study four A-Level subjects, although this is not required for university applications.

    Be Successful: Craft Your Credibility

    Our Sixth Form students are at the very heart of Ribston. Leadership roles such as Head Student, House Captain, Prefect, Peer Mentor and Subject Captain enable students to develop lifelong employability and personal skills.

    We have many student-led clubs and societies, including History, FemSoc and MedSoc. The Sixth Formers at Ribston are excellent role models to younger students, helping raise their aspirations while achieving their own success. 

    Be Unique: Develop Your Brand

    Every student at Ribston can belong to clubs and societies and take part in many extracurricular activities.  The Sixth Form team is a strong and caring support network, there to offer academic and career guidance, help you set personal targets and celebrate student success.

    Our Sixth Form team provide help and guidance throughout the two years, ensuring students have the skills to access Higher
    Education or other academic or career pathways.

    Be Autonomous: Cultivate Your Independence

    At Ribston, it's not all about studying – you'll also get the opportunity to perform, to compete, to experiment, to travel and to discover your potential and be exceptional!

    Ribston's Sixth Form is a warm and welcoming community and new students joining us quickly settle in and make friends.
