Safeguarding at Ribston

We pride ourselves on creating a safeguarding culture that not only protects students from harm but also promotes their emotional and social well-being, allowing them to thrive academically and personally. It fosters trust, reduces risk and creates a supportive environment where every member of our community is committed to the safety of our students.

Our Safeguarding Team

Mrs Hay is the Safeguarding Lead here at Ribston. Mrs Hay works alongside Mrs Hill, Mrs Cresswell, Miss Erro and Mrs Brewster to support students and respond to any safeguarding concerns.

Reporting Safeguarding Concerns

Anyone can report a safeguarding concern by emailing our Safeguarding Team. Students can report concerns in person by speaking to a member of our Safeguarding Team:

  • Mrs Hay is located in the office opposite our Wellbeing Centre.
  • Mrs Hill is based in the Sixth Form office.
  • Mrs Cresswell is based in the Head of Year office on the ground floor of Whittaker.
  • Miss Erro is based in the Head of Year office on the ground floor of Whittaker.
  • Mrs Brewster is based in the Wellbeing Centre.

We've also created a 'Report a Concern' button that is located on student dashboards.

Safeguarding Poster

Our Safeguarding poster is displayed around the school so that students are reminded who our Safeguarding Team are, and how to report any concerns:
