National Allocation Day

Entry to Ribston Hall in September 2024

Ribston Hall High School is a selective girls’ grammar school for ages 11-16 and offers a mixed Sixth Form. All students must sit the Grammar School Entrance Test in September 2023 and gain a pass to be eligible for a place.

Our school has specialised in educating girls in Gloucester for over 100 years. We foster a supportive environment which allows our students to grow academically and socially, equipping them with the skills and values to make worthy contributions to society. We are often complimented on the ‘family feel’ of Ribston Hall.

Ribston Hall High School is an Academy and as such, the Governing Body of the school is the admission's authority responsible for all admissions. The Governing Body operates in line with Gloucestershire County Council’s coordinated scheme for school admissions and School Admissions Code.

Free and Paid-For Familiarisation Materials
GL Assessment have a range of free and paid-for familiarisation materials and support guides to aid you through the testing process. To give all children the opportunity to experience sample questions across a range of question types in advance of the test, they have 10 hours of free familiarisation materials. These are particularly useful for verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning tests as children may not have encountered these types of questions before. Please follow the link below to the GL Assessment Website:
