The Governors are delighted to welcome Mrs Colombini as the new Headteacher of Ribston Hall High School.
Mrs Colombini is an inspiring leader and highly regarded educational professional who brings with her extensive experience of delivering high quality and innovative education for high achieving students. We hope you will join us in welcoming Sarah and her family to the Ribston Hall community.
My name is Sarah Colombini and I am very privileged to be the new Headteacher at Ribston Hall High School.
Educationally, I am committed to the selective system and single sex education and for the last 16 years have been working in Devon at Torquay Girls’ Grammar School.
My degree is in Medical Biology and I began my career teaching Science and Biology, specialising in A level courses. Due to my background I am particularly enthusiastic about encouraging young women into STEM subjects, as sadly the gender gap in these areas is still significant and needs to be addressed; something I feel very strongly about.
I have vast experience in a variety of roles within the school setting including leading on Teaching & Learning, pastoral care, safeguarding and the Sixth form, all of which I have enjoyed.
I am dedicated to my role in developing bright young women, my passion and ethos throughout my career has been to enable young women to aspire to be the best that they can be.
It is an exciting time to be part of our school community and I look forward to sharing the Ribston journey with both the staff and students over the next few years. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
