  • How You Can Help

    Get Involved

You can give as little or as much of your time as you like. You don't need to join the committee to be involved.

Here are some of the ways that you can support the school:

    • Come along to the odd meeting to listen or share your ideas.

    • Join our WhatsApp group to keep updated and contribute ideas.

    • Volunteer to help serve refreshments at one of our school events once in a while.

    • Join the 50/50 Club – For as little as £2 a month, you can enter our ‘lottery’. By joining the 50/50 club, you have a chance to win cash prizes through our regular draws, with 3 winners drawn every month. Half of the money collected is awarded in prizes, and the other half goes directly back to supporting us. Request details to join by following this link or email the RHA

    • Buy Ribston merchandise. We have an online Sum-Up Store where you can purchase a range of school merchandise. This includes drawstring bags and house lion keyrings.

Easy ways to help raise funds for the school

Easyfundraising is a platform where every time you make a purchase from one of the 1000 retailers, a percentage goes towards the RHA. You can earn a few pennies by ordering through Dominos, deliveroo or Just Eat, earn over £20 if you renew any insurance and much, much more if you book your holiday through the likes of TUI. Please visit the easyfundraising website to sign up. Then click on ‘Support a good cause’ and search for Ribston Hall Association.

My Nametags is a website that creates name tags for your child's clothing and kit. If you order your child's name tags, add our school ID (60419), My Nametags will pay the RHA 24% of your total order. Please insert the ID code at the checkout page/delivery address.

Clothes Recycling – We have a clothes recycling bank in the school car park for parents and students to drop off any unwanted but useable clothing and accessories. We can accept:

    • Clothing
    • Paired Shoes
    • Handbags and belts
    • Bedsheets, duvet covers and pillow cases
    • Soft toys

The clothing and shoes that you donate are destined to be sent to parts of Africa and the Middle East, providing affordable clothing and work for local people in those countries. Last year we earned £72 from donations, and we'd love to beat that figure this year!

Don't forget to donate to the school using Gift Aid

You can support the school by registering with Gift Aid and making regular donations to the school. Gift Aid is a government scheme that enables registered charities like the RHA to claim money back from the Government on all donations from parents/carers who pay tax.

This means that we can claim Gift Aid tax relief of 25p on every pound you give. In short, it means we get £1.25 for every £1 given (£12.50 for every £10 donated) at no cost to you.

If you are able to support the school by making a regular donation, please complete the Gift Aid Form, print it, sign it, and return it to the RHA Treasurer, c/o the School Office. If you have any queries regarding the scheme, please contact the RHA Treasurer.

    Sponsor an event

Perhaps your company can offer sponsorship or supply goods for one of our events. Let us know by contacting our committee via email: rha@ribstonhall.gloucs.sch.uk.
